Replace Missing Teeth, Close to Home
If you live in Larkspur and you are weighing dentures, the office is a quick run north on Highway 101 into downtown San Rafael, where Dr. Steve Truman builds each denture to your mouth at 1099 D Street. You stay in Marin, you see the same dentist every visit, and you fold the trip in alongside a stop at Marin Country Mart or the morning ferry from Larkspur Landing.
Losing teeth changes the everyday, from what you can chew to how you feel about your smile. Dentures are a long-proven, non-surgical way to put that function and confidence back, and today's materials sit more comfortably and look far more natural than the dentures many people remember. At D Street, no denture comes off a shelf. Dr. Steve shapes it to your bite, refines the fit over follow-up visits, and aims for a result that looks like you, not like dental work.
Who Dentures Are Right For
- Missing several teeth (partial denture) or all teeth in an arch (full denture)
- Looking for a non-surgical, cost-effective way to replace missing teeth
- Living with an old, loose, or ill-fitting denture that is overdue for a replacement
- Curious about a more secure, implant-retained denture that holds without slipping
What to Expect
- Consultation & impressions We look at your mouth, talk through full versus partial versus implant-retained, and take precise impressions, often in one trip up from Larkspur.
- Custom fabrication Your denture is built to your bite and shade so it sits comfortably and reads as natural.
- Fitting & adjustments We seat the denture and fine-tune it over follow-up visits until it feels right.
- Ongoing care We watch the fit as your mouth changes over time and adjust as needed to keep things comfortable for the long haul.
Why D Street Dental Group
Dr. Steve Truman
Dr. Steve earned his DDS from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and served as a clinical instructor. Restorative work is the core of his practice, so each denture is planned and fit precisely and explained clearly. For Larkspur patients that means one dentist who knows your mouth from the first impression through every adjustment, not a rotating bench of providers.
Serving Larkspur
Larkspur sits in southern Marin just off Highway 101, so the office is a short run north up the freeway into downtown San Rafael, where we are on the second floor at 1099 D Street, Suite 206. If your day already takes you along Magnolia Avenue in downtown Larkspur, through Marin Country Mart, or out to the Larkspur Landing ferry terminal, folding a denture consultation or fitting into the trip to the next town up is simple.
For parking, you will find street spots along D Street and the surrounding blocks, plus several public lots a short walk away in downtown San Rafael. Because Dr. Steve handles the full course of denture care himself, a fitting or an adjustment never means a second office on another day. New patients from Larkspur are always welcome.
Cost & Membership
Denture cost depends on full versus partial, the materials, and any extractions or preparatory work, so we give you a clear, itemized estimate first. No surprises.
We are out of network for all dental insurance, though we bill your plan directly and out-of-network coverage often pays a good portion of covered services. For patients without insurance, our in-house "D is for Dental" membership takes 20% off treatment, with flexible in-office payment plans. See membership plans →
Denture Questions
Where do Larkspur patients go for dentures?
A short drive north on Highway 101. From downtown Larkspur and Magnolia Avenue you head up 101 into downtown San Rafael to reach us at 1099 D Street, where Dr. Steve builds full and partial dentures to your bite. Whether you are coming from Marin Country Mart or the Larkspur Landing ferry terminal, the chair is a quick run up the freeway.
What is the difference between full and partial dentures?
A full denture replaces all the teeth in an arch when no natural teeth remain. A partial denture fills one or more gaps while clasping to your remaining healthy teeth. Dr. Steve recommends the right option based on how many teeth you are missing and the health of the ones that remain.
Can dentures be supported by implants?
Yes. Implant-retained dentures snap onto a few strategically placed implants for a more stable, secure fit that will not slip when you eat or speak. It is a good upgrade if you are tired of adhesive or a loose lower denture. Ask about implant-supported options at your consultation.
Do you take my insurance if I live in Larkspur?
We are out of network with the dental PPOs, but we still bill your plan directly so you can use your benefits, and out-of-network plans often cover a good portion of covered services. If you do not have insurance, our in-house D is for Dental membership takes 20% off restorative & major work. We give an itemized estimate before any denture work begins.
