Dental care without an insurance company in the middle. We're out of network with every PPO, on purpose. There's no carrier here to deny a crown, no benefit cap that empties out in October, and no claim forms. Your membership fee goes to us, not to an insurance company, so it comes back to you as a lower fee. That's how this plan can exist at all.
Membership is 20% off restorative & major work. The 20% comes off our standard fee for fillings, crowns, extractions, and space maintainers. Your child's preventive care for the year comes with it: three cleanings, an exam at each cleaning, annual bitewing X-rays, fluoride at each cleaning, and one emergency exam.

Parent / Guardian Note: For members under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the Membership Agreement and is responsible for all payment obligations. A guardian signature is required at enrollment.

It is not regulated as insurance under California law, provides no coverage for services outside D Street Dental Group, and does not qualify as minimum essential coverage.
Common Questions
Is the membership the same as dental insurance?
No. It's a plan we run in-house, not insurance. You pay us directly, so there are no claim forms, no deductibles, and no waiting periods. It covers your child's care here at D Street Dental Group only. If that sounds simpler than insurance, that's the point.
If my child needs a filling, do I still pay for it?
Yes, but you get 20% off. The membership covers your child's preventive care, the cleanings, exams, X-rays, and fluoride. Anything beyond that, like fillings or space maintainers, comes off our standard fee by 20%. Clear aligners and cosmetic-only work are the two things the discount doesn't touch.
What if I already have dental insurance?
Then this probably isn't the plan for you, and that's fine. We built it for families without dental benefits. We're out of network with the PPO plans, so if you're covered we'll bill your plan directly and you use your out-of-network benefits instead. You can't run both at the same time.
How soon can my child use it?
Right away. There's no waiting period. Benefits start the day you enroll and run for a full 12 months. Come in for that first cleaning whenever it works for your family.
What happens to the cleanings we don't use?
They don't roll over. The plan resets each year when it renews, so the cleanings and exams you've already paid for are worth getting in for. We'll help you keep the visits on the calendar so nothing goes to waste.
How do I sign up my child?
Call, text, or email us and we'll have your child enrolled in a few minutes. A parent or guardian signs the agreement at enrollment. Online sign-up is coming soon, and you don't need insurance or a referral.
Is fluoride included for my child?
Yes. A fluoride treatment is included at every cleaning visit at no extra cost. It helps protect young enamel while your child's teeth are still developing, which is when they're most prone to cavities.
